Short term S Fund
To me, as a chartist, the S fund seems to have slowed it's upward movement, but is cautiously moving incrementally upwards.
I use a 20 trading day (~1 month) simple moving average to smooth the data.
The Bollinger bands are a 2 standard deviation envelop that expands and contracts due to various things, volatility etc. but it is merely a glimpse the market" is thinking but no "black swans" or what the heck happened there!! (a "black swan" is a completely unexpected event, positive or negative that suddenly affects the market
All this data is free and you can spend your lunchtime setting it up and then looking at every day for a few minutes, as it is merely what you will survive OR thrive on post retirement

What is the path forward ? I see the group moved to S-Fund, probably a good move since I-Fund has performed poorly almost all of 2018. are we remaining in S-Fund ? why , why not?
also, it seems like this group is talking about a lot besides the TSP, (title of the group). not sure if the focus has been lost or not, but I am not interested in tax talk, life insurance talk, estate plans, etc
