4 Costly Mistakes According to Dr. Lyle Greenman, president of the Early Childhood Development Group, there are mistakes that every   leader can avoid as they strive to manage their program by their business priorities. Here are 4 common mistakes:       1) The first mistake is being under capitalized.  If you can't ride out rough spots--you won't make it.         2) The second mistake is being overly optimistic about  your income . and your ability to control expenses.  Part of this is not planning ahead for the summer.      3) The third mistake is not understanding how to relate to staff.    Many leaders feel that poor interactions among  staff are basically "personality conflicts."  As a result professional relationships deteriorate and resentments and jealousy fester.       4) The fourth mistake is not recognizing parents as clients.           Consistent efforts must be put into place to build  positive and professional relationships with parents.Staff must be trained on how to speak with parents.  Work Relationships.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
