I really appreciate this but if you see on the other side is it necessary that if a child is from a poor family and doesn't score 80% then he's not a bright child, the child wanted to reach high but he has no means to study and unable to get 80% then what, should the child be left in lurch. I don't think this should be a criteria, instead a child who really want's to excel but is from poor family and supported by the society to come up and do something good should be encouraged and inspite of these written tests they should be inteviewed to see the enthusiasm in them and the problems they face to nurture that enthusiasm.
We still are going by the same age old system of putting thresholds of percentage's like in engineering colleges as shown in the movie '3 Idiots'. If he scores 79% and from a poor family so he is not encouraged by this NGO, strange!!
