Sorry you had to go through all that! Very painful. As I started reading your list, I thought that contacting the local congress person would be the best route, but then I read on and saw that was done to get resolution. Sounds like you were not the norm as you had colleagues get their paperwork finalized in less time. It might be good for anyone retiring to use the congress route if it takes more than maybe 4 months?
I had a close friend at work that died 10 years ago and I helped his wife with all the paperwork. Since there is no way to talk to OPM, I went directly to the US Senator's local office and had them file the paperwork. Seemed it was completed pretty fast.

I too retired December 31st, not of 2022 but, 2021. March 1st 2023, I'll receive my first finalized retirement paycheck!
My file was complete and filed with CBP 120 days prior to my retirement. OPM never contacted me for any other information. It was a no comms situation.
Here are the dates lifted directly from my Services Online Interim Case Status page:
Notification of Retirement Received - 2/18/2022
Retirement Application Received - 2/25/2022
Interim Pay Issued - 3/11/2022
Assigned to Specialist - 4/7/2022
(Everything was great up until now. Colleages from my office who retired in February and May both got their cases finalized before mine and OPM was not answering my emails.
1/3/2023 I filled out my Congressman's form to request help with a government agency.
1/5/2023 OPM Received my Congressional Inquiry.
1/11/2023 my case moved into Review Status!)
Case Finalized - 1/26/2023 (The same date OPM had to respond to my Congressman)
2/1/2023 - Received last Interim Payment plus a deposit for all of my back pay.
2/3/2023 - I received my Retirement Benefits Booklet
3/1/2023 - Scheduled to receive my first Finalized Retirement Paycheck!
Bottom line is be prepared to wait. Hopefully, you'll have better luck than I did and you won't have to burn through your annual leave lump sum payment, all savings and $7,500.00 of TSP withdrawals to make ends meet while in Interim Purgatory. I did everything right. Unfortunately, no one has any control over which Retirement Specialist's desk your case lands on. Mine was a dud. I hope you have better luck.
