If the personal rate of return includes the previous 12 months, then it includes Oct-Dec 2018 returns.
YTD value starts with Jan 2019 (9 months).

I have been in some combo of C and S for a long time. Currently 60% C and 40% S. When I received my quarterly statement it showed rates of return year to date. C=18.53%, S=19.48% but personal rate of return on statement shows -.40%. I really dont understand this.
