I'm also interested in how the new features will affect those of us who are already retired.
I'm 68, retired two years ago, and have already taken one partial withdrawal, which, under the current rules, is all I am allowed until I submit a request for a total withdrawal. Of course, I will have to do this in about two years when I turn 70.
As I understand it, the new rules will allow members to change the amounts and timing of withdrawals in ways that are not presently allowed.
Will those new freedoms also apply to retirees? If a retiree has already asked for a total withdrawal with monthly distributions, will he or she be able to change amounts more than once a year?
If anyone knows, I'd be happy to learn.
