I do mine in Turbo Tax every year.  Just follow the instructions and put the numbers in where they belong.  Pretty easy really.

I think so, but I just retired last fall and received my first 1099-R before they had finalized my retirement package (took 4.5 months to finalize).  So the taxable amount on the 1099-R was listed as UNKNOWN.  So I had to figure out how to do the Simplified Method.
