Re: [LeadersWorkshop] Do Hiring practices have an inpact on retention and attrition?

Hiring practices of an organisation have a direct impact on retention and attrition.

While selecting the people for the organisation, we should select the people with competencies the job requires. We should not select either over-competent or less-competent people. Both will lead to attrition.

For e.g. if you choose an MBA from IIM A Schools for Bank Officers job even at middle management level, the attrition rate will be the highest and even if we choose Technocrats of high calibre at middle management level, the attrition rate will be high.

If yes, why and even if no, why too?
